If a locale variant does not exist for an object the software uses a fall-back option, based on the variant structure that you have configured.
| Flat Structure This type of structure creates a simple variant or primary option. A fall-back example: If a variant for French does not exist, the primary American English source object will be used as a fall-back.

| Grouped Structure This type of hierarchical structure uses similar languages grouped in sub-levels. A fall-back example: If a variant for French Canadian does not exist then the French variant will be used, and if a variant for French does not exist then the American English primary object will be used. |
