Release States are initially set up in Author by your library's Security Administrator.
The Release States screen specifies which Release States are applied to the stages of the translation job life cycle.
For more information see: How Release States are Applied When Translation Jobs are Created and How Release States are Applied When a Translation Job is Imported.

Allocate the release states applicable to each stage of the translation job life cycle.
Only send source objects in these release states for translation
Only content in the selected release state or states will be included in the translation job. Use this feature as insurance against sending content prematurely.
Select the release state for objects sent out for translation
All objects included in the translation job will be placed in this release state to show that the objects are out for translation.
Select the release state for objects in draft imports
Select the release state from the drop-down list that will be applied to objects when the translation job is imported (draft import). This state updates the objects in the translation job so you can see which content has been imported back into the library.
Select the release state for objects once imported
Only one release state can be selected from the drop-down box. Release state names cannot be edited in this field.
Select the release states for objects in canceled jobs
Only one release state can be selected from the drop-down box. Release state names cannot be edited in this field.
