When is a variant of the template created?
A variant of the Index template is created if there is any text typed in the translatable fields in the template.
When is a variant of the object created?
A variant of the Index object is created if there is any text typed in the translatable fields in the object. That is, the content in the field is not inherited from the template.
Recommended
Template: Translate the fields in the Index template. Use a locale variant of the template; object locale variants based on the template will inherit the translated Index title text from the template locale variant.
