Books as modules and courses
Honeycomb courses are created inside books in Author. A book can serve as an entire short course, or as a single module within a course. Because a book can contain sub-books, you can group multiple modules together in a single course. Because these modules also function as stand-alone books, you can reuse them accordingly in different training courses.
Topics as slides and elements
Each Honeycomb course is a book containing a collection of slides:

Static slides that contain text, images, links, audio, and video.

Interactive slides that present content in a more engaging way.

Knowledge checks that question the learner to find out if the information is clear.

Assessments with exams to determine if the learner has understood the course.
The slides vary according to the slide purpose, the information they contain, and the way they operate. Each course slide is a separate Author-it topic, based on a purpose-built template that defines the structure and format of the slide.
A slide exists at the top level of the book structure, making a book a collection of slides. Topics added a level beneath slides are elements. Elements are topics that contain content and functionality for the slide. In a Clickable Buttons slide, the slide's elements are topics the slide displays when the learner clicks a button. In an Accordion slide, each of the topics that make up the accordion are elements of the slide.

Customized styling
Honeycomb outputs use HTML5 and CSS to provide functionality and styling. A number of elements are configurable and customizable. The Honeycomb templates are a combination of CSS, HTML5, JavaScript, and json files, so when you wish to rebrand or modify Honeycomb’s look-and-feel to meet your organization’s requirements, please contact your local reseller.
Publishing directly to a web server
Honeycomb can't be delivered locally (for example as an HTML file). It only runs on a server. However, you can set up your Honeycomb publishing profile to publish directly to a web server, eliminating the need to download the output locally, and making it immediately available to anyone who has the URL.
SCORM and Tin Can
Compliance with SCORM 1.2, SCORM 2004 and Tin Can means that your Learning Management System (LMS) will be able to track progress and knowledge proficiency for WBT learners. SCORM and Tin Can are the widely held technical standard for elearning products. These standards govern the interoperability between elearning content and LMS products.
