Author-it can publish documents to nearly any version of Word. Outputs are based on your publishing profile's Word template (Publishing Profile > Theme > Word Template), with the template's styles determining the formatting of any matching styles in your topic content. Our default Word template includes formatting for all of the base styles in Author, and you can modify it to change this formating, or to add more styles.
