Resource Translator allows the import, synchronization and update of software display text (software resource strings) using Author-it topic variants in multiple languages. Users are now able to publish combinations of their User Interface content. It can import the following file formats:
- RESX
- Text
- Excel
- XML with optional XSLT transformation.
Resource Translator can process the imported strings differently according to predefined rules. For example, button text translations that are identified by a prefix of “btn” can be processed by Resource Translator to have a specific topic template, paragraph style, character style, release state and folder.
Resource Translator processes one or more jobs in a batch mode, so it requires less interaction from you. It can also export existing topics to RESX files for translation.
