Using the Text Direction Selector

On Premises

You can change the direction of text in selected cell(s) by using the Text Direction command in the Advanced settings on the Layout tab. The text directions are: left-to-right, top-to-bottom, or bottom-to-top.

In addition, you can use the three Cell Alignment commands to change the location of the text within the cell. The commands are: Align Top, Align Center, and Align Bottom.

  • When the left-to-right text direction is applied the cell alignment moves the text to the top, center, or bottom of the cell.

  • When the top-to-bottom or bottom-to-top text directions are applied the cell alignment moves the text to the left side, center, or right side of the cell.
