Word Macro

On Premises

When you publish to Word, you can include macros in your Word Publishing template that will alter the published output. During publishing Author-it looks in the template for any macros added to AfterPublish routines and attempts to run them.

Using the Word Macro action you can call a macro which is stored outside of AfterPublish routines. This enables you to add multiple macros to the Word Publishing template, then use the action to call the chosen macro and run it at the appropriate time.

To create a Word Macro action:

  1. From the publishing profile, select the Actions tab.
  2. Click the Word Macro action.
  3. In the Description field, type a name for the action.
  4. Add the macro name.
  5. Click OK to save the action.

The action is added to the After Publishing list.

  6. Save the changes to the profile.
