By default each page displayed in the Web Help file includes a footer. However, if you don't want to include the footer disable it by modifying the style rule in the webhelp.css file.

Using this method, you keep the footer code intact in the index.htm file, and have the option to re-enable it again at any time.

To hide the footer:

  1. Open the webhelp.css in Notepad and locate the Footer code.

    /*------ Footer --------*/

    .footer { background-color: #E1E1E1;

    width: 100%;

    height: 60px;

    border-top-color: Gray;

    border-top-width: 1px;

    border-top-style: solid;

    }

  2. Add the display attribute to the style rule using the text display: none; at the end of the code block for the style rule.

    .footer { background-color: #E1E1E1;

    width: 100%;

    height: 60px;

    border-top-color: Gray;

    border-top-width: 1px;

    border-top-style: solid;

    display: none;

    }

  3. Save the changes to the webhelp.css file.

You can enable the footer again by removing the display attribute in the style rule.
