Install Localize - On Premises 6.4

For version 6.4 change numbers.

For the application pool use version 4.0…. in the dropdown box instead of version 2.0……

The package is Review_Localize_6.4.zip.

Windows Server 2008 up to 2017 are all supported for the web applications

Web Application Server

  1. Disable UAC (not only the Notifications)
  2. Create Localization directory (same level as the folder Libraries) with 3 subfolders Import, Export and Logs.
  3. Add the AIT service user to the local Administrator group
  4. Install necessary roles and features.
  5. Unzip everything from InternalApi.zip and WebApps.zip to C:\inetpub\wwwroot\.
  6. Create Application Pools (32-bits on True and domain user/local admin for connection).
  7. Convert directories to application.
  8. Enable net.tcp protocol for InternalApi
  9. Edit the APIServer.config file in C:\inetpub\wwwroot\InternalAPI\.

When Contribute works and Review/Localize gives a login error, the cause can be an upgraded server.

  1. Add the code <serviceHostingEnvironment multipleSiteBindingsEnabled="true" /> to web.config, in the InternalAPI folder

Config File

The name of the (new) database must be added to a config file in the webroot. The path is C:\inetpub\wwwroot\InternalAPI and the name of the config file is APIServer.config.

Just add the new library.

Connection Database Owner

In SQL server the sql-user to make connection with the webserver (set in APIServer.config) must be owner of the database.
