Assign the license file and key to your library - On Premises 6.4

Author-it Knowledge Center

When you buy Author-it On Premises, you receive an email with a license file and license key.

To assign the license to the library

  1. Open the library using Author-it Administrator.
  2. Click Security > Update Licenses....

    The Update License window opens. Click the option to load the license file.

    Select License Model

  3. Click Next to continue. The Load License File window opens.

    Locate License File

  4. Select Load from License file, then Browse to your license (*.alc) file.
  5. Enter the license key into the License Key field. The license key is provided in the license email.
  6. Click Next to complete the licensing update.

    The window shows an overview of the licenses for your organization.

  7. When the Licensing has been successfully updated Close the licensing window.
