You can delete a variable from the Manage Variables window.
To delete a variable:
- Open the Library using Author-it Administrator
- Go to Variables > Maintain Variables from the main menu to open the Manage Variables window.
- Select a variable and:
- Click the Delete button.
-or-
- Right-click and click Delete.
A confirmation window displays. Click Yes to continue.
- Click the Delete button.
- If you are absolutely sure you want to delete the variable, click Yes.
Caution: Deleting a variable will affect all occurrences of the variable in the topic and book objects in your library. Make sure you are aware of the effect this may have on your objects before you delete the variable.
