The Copy File action copies the selected files to a specified location. You can copy selected file to the publishing folder, or copy selected files from the publishing folder to another location.
Note: Depending on the operating system, "inherited" object permissions may be affected when you copy or move objects to another location. If the permissions are affected, subsequent actions that use the objects may also be affected.
You have two options when copying files.
- Copy files from the publishing folder:
- Open the publishing profile and select the Actions tab.
- Select the Copy Files action.
- Add the name of the file you want to copy, or use wildcards and a file format to copy all files of a single type. Alternatively, click All output in publishing folder to copy all files.
Wildcards allow you to copy all files in a specific format, for example, *.gif. You can create more than one action if you need to copy files in a different format as well.
- Select From publishing folder to and browse to the folder where you want to copy the files.
- Click OK to save the action. The action is added to the After Publishing list.
- Save the changes to the profile.
