If this is a new installation, you need to activate your software license.
- To activate your software license:
Note: If you don't have your license file and are not using an Author-it License library, contact your administrator or Author-it support.
- Open Author-it Administrator. Use the start menu, or the shortcut on your desktop.
- Log in as a user with administrative privileges (such as supervisor). If you are prompted to update your library, click Yes. This may take a few minutes.
- Go to Security > Update Licenses.
The Update License Wizard opens.
- Click Next.
- Click Browse and navigate to the location of your license file.
Note: The license filename begins with the word License, followed by a letter/number combination and has the extension.alc. This combination is the license key. Author-it support may also send you the license key in a separate email.
- Select the license file and click Open.
- Open Windows Explorer and navigate to the license file folder.
- In the folder copy the name of the license key text file (without the .txt extension).
- Enter the license key from the file name into the License Key field, then click Next.
The License Tokens list shows the the licenses available in the selected license file..
- Click Next.
You will see a confirmation .
- Click Close.
