Priority rating - On Premises: 6.4

Object Variants

Assigning the priority rating

You must assign a priority rating for each of the variant criteria in order to resolve conflicts between different variants. This setting applies a weighting to the criteria and enables Author-it to select which object to use in situations where multiple objects meet the criteria in the filter. If this happens Author-it uses the variant with the highest priority rating. Priority ratings range from 1, which is the highest priority to 99, which is the lowest priority.

Important: When you create the variant criteria it has a default priority of 0, which is the equivalent of applying no rating value. You must set the priority to enable Author-it to resolve conflicts using the best match. If you don't apply the priority setting a possible, but less accurate match may be used instead.
