When you create content in an unfiltered book, the Create Variant window opens without any criteria values in the Associated Criteria pane. The book must be filtered before you can view the new variant in the book.
- Open a book in the Editor.
- Select the topic that you want to create a variant for, and then in the shortcut menu click New Variant.
- In the criteria window, select the values for the variant.
- To create the new variant topic, click OK.
The newly created variant appears in the same folder as the parent object.
