Localizing object templates & variables - On Premises: 2022.R5

Translations

Object templates

An important part of the localization process in a single library is using localized object templates to provide settings unique to each locale. These settings are used when you publish your content.

The localized object templates provide paths to external publishing templates, paths to localized linked file objects, localized text strings for names (such as "Contents" or "Index") or text references for links (such as the "see" text used in Hyperlinks for Print outputs).

Variables

Variables used in the content are stored against each Locale record in Localize. The translated variable values are added to each locale record and used when you publish your content for that locale.
