In the following example, the rule allows up to five paragraphs in a topic. The paragraph rule has been defined, but no child rules have been defined. This enables character styles, file objects, hyperlinks, variables, and embedded topics to be used without any restrictions.

The paragraph rule is defined as the number of occurrences, the location sequence, the allowed style:

    Each example contains three paragraphs with Body Text applied. Both examples are valid as no character style or file rules have been defined. This allows any inline (child level) content to be added within the paragraphs.
