Settings in Author-it Cloud

Users with administrator permissions can define the release states and other review settings in quick-editing mode.

Define review settings

  1. Select Settings from the Primary navigation
  2. Select Review and Approval

This opens the Review Settings window where options for the reviews can be set.

Create from book - this is an on/off switch that determines if the corresponding button to create a Review and/or an Approval appears on the book.

Review state - The drop down list is populated with Release States of the type Review in the library. If an option has been selected for Review or Approval, it is not possible to select the same state in a second drop down.

Editorial state - The drop down list is populated with Release States of type Editorial in the library. If an option has been selected for Review or Approval, it is not possible to select the same state in a second drop down.

Next state - The drop down list is populated with Release States of types Draft, Review or Released in the library. If an option has been selected for Review or Approval, it is not possible to select the same state in a second drop down.

Reject state - The drop down list is populated with Release States of type Editorial in the library. If an option has been selected for Review or Approval, it is not possible to select the same state in a second drop down.

Approve state - The drop down list is populated with Release States of type Released in the library. If an option has been selected for Review or Approval, it is not possible to select the same state in a second drop down.

Minimum reviewers - Specifies the minimum number of mandatory reviewers that must be added to a review.

Default editors - As the users creating reviews may not be Authors or have access to the Author application, the default Editors must be users that are Authors.

Default signers - The users that are authorized to approve and sign-off content.
