You can think about roles within Author-it in terms of control that flows from Administrator to Designer to Author.
- As an Administrator, you set up user groups and user passwords and attach permissions to folders based on groups from these roles.
- As a Designer, you create the templates, styles, and production processes that are used on a daily basis.
- As an Author, you create content and manipulate objects within the confines of your security access using the templates, styles, and processes already in place.
As you take on different roles, you'll focus on different areas of Author-it knowledge.
