The toolbar displays in the Edit ribbon in the Editor. Each user in an Author-it library can customize their own toolbar, enabling quick access to the styles they use the most. The toolbar comes with some commonly used styles already installed.
Note: The Styles toolbar is specific to your user account and to the current library. If you're using more than one library, you'll need to define your toolbar in each one.
To customize the Styles toolbar:
- In the main window, choose the Author-it Button > Style Toolbar Manager.

In the Editor, on the Edit tab, click the Format command group's dialog box launcher.
The Customize Styles Toolbar window opens.
Now you're ready to:
- Add styles to the toolbar.
- Remove styles from the toolbar.
- Change the icon associated with a style.
- Assign a keyboard shortcut to a style.
- Copy a Styles toolbar from another person's User Account.
