Create a release state - Cloud

Author-it allows you to create your own customized release states for objects, to reflect the content release cycle you use.

Once you have created a release state, add permissions for that state to users and/or groups.

To add a release state:

  1. Open the library in Author, then select File > Release States to open the Release State window.
  2. Right-click any existing release state and click Add State.

    The New State window opens.

  3. Type the name of your new release state, then click OK.

    The window closes and the new state appears in the list. The state's defaults as black, but you can change the color as needed.

  4. Click OK to apply your changes.
