Author-it Cloud utilizes industry standard firewalls, password protection, and other security features. Website data transactions are protected by means of Extended Validation SSL certification. SSL is performed by all public-facing load balancing servers.
All web-based communication to the Author-it Cloud applications is passed over HTTPS by using industry-standard 256-bit TLS 1.2 encryption. All RDP-based traffic is encrypted with TLS 1.2 128-bit encryption. Customers whose networks don't support these encryption methods are not permitted to make connections.
Protection of a client's proprietary and confidential information on Author-it Cloud is a data security and a contractual issue.
