Author-it is a content development and publishing platform that allows external assets created in other tools to be managed, reused, and packaged (published) into the Author-it outputs. Author-it doesn’t modify these assets in any way, so it’s important the asset is created according to the following guidelines to ensure maximum compatibility for the following use cases:
- A single asset is used multiple times in a single course
- Multiple assets from the same vendor are used in a single course
- Multiple assets from multiple vendors are used in a single course
- Assets are used simultaneously in multiple Author-it outputs, including eLearning/mobile learning (Honeycomb), product documentation (Magellan) and interactive applications (Author-it Chrysalis)
