SpecificLinks Element

Author-it XML Format

Description

Sets a relationship between this topic and one or more other Topic, Hypertext Link, or Index Entry objects that will be included in this related group. Hypertext Link and Index Entry objects are resolved down to the topics they are linked to.

Combining or separating special and specific links in the published output

You can combine a list of Special Links (for example, child, sibling, parent topics, and so on) with a group of Specific Links by assigning the same "group heading" to both lists. Using this method, when you publish the objects will be added to the same list. If you use more than one group, and the group headings are different, then separate groups will be created when you publish.

Note: If any of the specified topics are not part of this book they will be ignored at publishing time.

The SpecificLinks element corresponds to the "Specific Links" sub-tab sub-tab, on the Related Topics tab, of the Topic object.
