The Insert image button in the Topic Toolbar is used to insert an image into a topic.

Add an image

You can reuse an existing image or insert a new image by uploading an image from the local computer. Supported image types are JPEG, PNG, GIF and SVG.

To add a new image to a topic

  1. Place the cursor at the point in the topic where you want to add the image.
  2. Click the Insert image button in the Topic Toolbar. The Insert image window is displayed.
  3. Click the Upload a new image tab and then click Select an image. The Choose File to Upload window is displayed.
  4. Browse to the image that you want to insert, select the file, and then click Open. A preview of the image is shown.
  5. Enter a title for the image, and optionally, a description and caption.
  6. Select the image type in the drop-down list.
  7. Click Insert into topic.
  8. Save the changes to the topic.

To add an existing image to a topic

  1. Place the cursor at the point in the topic where you want to add the image.
  2. Click the Insert image button in the Topic Toolbar. The Insert image window is displayed.
  3. Click the Search for image tab.
  4. Click the Browse button button next to the search field to specify in which folder you want to search.
  5. Search for the image by entering (part of) a description, file name or keyword in the search field, and then click the search icon. The images that meet your search criteria are displayed.
  6. Select the image you want to insert and click Insert into topic.
  7. Save the changes to the topic.
