Create a new book

Library - Menu bar callout and create new book button selected

  1. Select Library on the Primary navigation.
  2. Select the Create a new book button on the Menu bar.

    The Create New Book window opens.

  3. Enter the book title.
  4. Select the applicable template from the Book Template drop-down menu.
  5. Select Create Book.

If the administrator has included topics in the book template the window will expand to show the options available for each topic.

You will only be able to create a book if you have selected a folder in which you have Create Book permissions.

Topics that have a green icon that is NOT bold will be reused or duplicated in your new book. These options have been set by your administrator.

  1. If there are topics that have a green icon that IS bold you can select the correct option for your new book:
    • Reuse
    • Duplicate
    • Delete
  2. When you have made the correct selection for each topic, select Create Book.
  3. The Create New Book window closes and the book automatically opens in the Book Editor view.
  4. You can now continue to work in your new book as necessary.
