Publishing server requirements - Author-it On-Premises

Author-it Service Manager is installed on publishing servers. The publishing server runs the Publishing service, which processes remote publishing jobs and publishing jobs for Contribute.

Publishing servers have different requirements for different publishing jobs and outputs.

Publishing server requirements
Hardware and software	CPU: 1.5 GHz minimum RAM: 4 GB (8 GB recommended) Storage: Solid State Drive recommended OS: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit) or later .NET Framework 4.8 Optional: Ghostscript version 10.03.1 or later The Publishing service doesn't have native support for EPS images. EPS images will appear as a broken image icon in most output formats. If you use EPS images, Author-it provides an optional script that uses Ghostscript to convert EPS images to a supported format. Magellan	Saxon for .NET version 9.7 or later Recommended install location: C:\Program Files\Saxonica\SaxonHE{version}N Note: Saxon-HE for .NET version 10.9 is open source and offered under the Mozilla Public License version 2.0. A copy of this license can be found at https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/MPL/2.0/.
PDF ProCSS	Antenna House 6.5 or later Recommended install location: C:\Program Files\Antenna House Optional: Ghostscript version 10.03.1 or later Recommended install location: C:\Program Files\gs\gs{version} Antenna House doesn’t support EPS images. Ghostscript converts the EPS images to PDF format, so that they can be included in PDF ProCSS documents. Ghostscript isn't required if you don't use EPS images.
Microsoft Word	Microsoft Word 2010 or later (required for importing Word documents and publishing to Legacy Word).
