Types Of Deactivation - Author-it On-Premises - Author-it

Author-it Development Documentation

You set the value of the DeactivationType property to specify the type of deactivation. The list below describes the ways in which you can deactivate a user interface control.

  • Default - the control appears and functions normally.

  • Disabled - the control remains visible, but appears "grayed out" and will not respond to user actions.

  • Hidden - the control will not appear in the user interface.

Note: Setting the deactivation type to Hidden may affect the placement of other controls on the form. For example an adjacent control may be moved upwards or to the left to fill any space left by the hidden control.
