Network specifications |
|
Network Level Authentication |
Your devices must support Network Level Authentication. |
Data volume strategy |
The primary data management centers are in Virginia and Frankfurt. |
Connection Security |
All web-based communications to the applications in the Author-it Cloud are passed over HTTPS by using industry standard 256-bit TLS 1.2 encryption. |
Extended Validation SSL certification |
SSL certification reassures users that sensitive data is safe. It is a technology that authenticates the website identity and encrypts information that is sent to the server by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology. Extended SSL is a highly visible verification in the form of a green address bar with organization name and certifying authority. |
Data Security |
Author-it Cloud data storage utilizes current industry-standard firewalls, password protection, and other security features. We use industry-leading Tier 1 data centers to house our services. These data centers are SSAE 16-compliant. |
User Security |
Author-it has a base policy that governs all user accounts, but only the first user in each client organization is created by an Author-it Enterprise Administrator. Thereafter, Client Administrators manage all users. Each user has the option to change their password. |
Password Security |
Each user has a unique username and a password that needs to be entered for each session. Passwords must meet complexity requirements. If passwords are entered incorrectly 5 times, the account is locked out for 5 minutes, and an email is sent to the Cloud Administrators. Administrators can also view recent Failed Logins per user on their Users screen. |
